Ricky Solano and Gonzalo Arica are a Lima-born ACD duo currently working at DAVID Madrid, where they craft campaigns that turn emotion into impact, and brands into culture.

They’re the team behind IKEA’s “Proudly Second Best”, a campaign that won 5 Cannes Lions (including Gold and Silver in Film) and was named one of the best campaigns of 2023 by Adweek (#6) and AdAge (#7).

In 2025, they created “Shades of Red” for Coca-Cola, a tribute to the small shopkeepers of Mexico who gave new meaning to the brand’s iconic color. The campaign earned 1 Gold and 2 Bronze Lions at Cannes, turning local pride into a global story.

Their work has helped position DAVID as the most awarded agency in Ibero-America and also earned them personal recognition as one of the top creatives in the world: Top 1 in Spain, Top 15 in Europe and Top 40 globally at The One Club for Creativity 2024.

Before DAVID, they shaped ideas at agencies like LOLA MullenLowe, Ogilvy Madrid, MRM-McCann, and Officer & Gentleman. At Ogilvy, they developed “The 36” for DGT a campaign awarded with 1 Grand Prix, 4 Golds, 2 Silvers, and 1 Bronze across top creativity festivals.
